Information for NIST National Meeting Attendees

Mug

Swap

  • Please bring a mug with the logo from your home institution.

  • We’ll swap mugs with other participants at the Friday social hour as a way to get to know each other.

  • Use your new mug to keep you hydrated throughout the meeting.​​

Maps and Transportation

Parking at the University of Denver

  • If you requested a parking permit, the meeting organizers have followed up with you with information about your permit.

  • If you did not yet request a parking permit but need one, you can purchase one at Nagel Hall (if you are staying in the dorms) or at meeting check-in.

Important Information

  • Check in to the dorms: between 12:00–6:00 pm on Friday, August 8 at Nagel Hall

    • 2194 S. High St, Denver

  • Check out of the dorms: 8:00-9:00 am on Sunday, August 10 at Nagel Hall

  • Make sure to return your room key. You will be charged a $325 fee for a lost key. 

  • Please read the DU Summer Guest Brochure.

Of note:

  • The University of Denver is a 100% smoke-free campus.

  • Do not move the furniture in the dorm rooms.

Amenities

The following amenities are provided in the sleeping rooms or are available in the residence halls:

  • A bed, desk, chair, dresser, closet, and linen packet (including sheets, towels, and a pillow) for each guest.

  • Refrigerator and microwave in each room or suite.​

  • Laundry rooms and vending machines in the common areas.

  • Complimentary wireless internet access.

  • The residence halls are air-conditioned. You may wish to bring your own blanket.

Nagel Hall 

The following items may be obtained, purchased, or borrowed from the front desk of Nagel Hall:

  • Lock-out keys and parking permits.

  • Trash liners and extra toilet paper.

  • Change for laundry or vending machines.

  • Game equipment.

The following items or services are NOT available in the residence halls:

  • Toiletries and hangers.

  • Laundry detergent.

  • Dishware and cooking utensils.

  • Housekeeping services (guests must take out trash and clean their rooms as necessary).
